Prizmatix Collimated Modular Mic-LED Light Source products series provides an affordable and expandable solution for Multi-wavelength fluorescence excitation in upright and inverted fluorescence microscopes. Mic-LEDs are available in a wide range of a specific excitation wavelengths (please see full list below).

The Mic-LED head comprises a High Power single chip LED and built-in adjustable AR coated aspheric lens collimator to provide collimated LED beam suitable for direct connection to epi-fluorescence port of microscope. The XY adjust screws enable precise alignment of the LED system to microscope light path. The LED has excellent thermal coupling to the body of Mic-LED or heat sink providing excellent thermal management. Each Mic-LED is shipped with specific test report providing information on total beam power and emission spectrum.

BLCC-04 current controller is available at 500 - 2000mA settings according to requirements of Mic-LED head. The BLCC-04 current controller features isolated TTL and Analog inputs for fast switching and D/A control of LED output power

Modular design enables easy connection of multiple collimated LED heads to beam combiners, filter wheel, beam switcher and numerous other components to create multi-wavelength collimated, light-guide coupled or fiber coupled LED light source.

The multi wavelength system can mix all Prizmatix collimated LEDs:

Mic-LED and Ultra-High-Power (including UHP-T-LEDs) UHPLEDs.

Please use Prizmatix LED Spectra Viewer to simulate such multi-wavelength system. LED Spectra Viewer shows full spectrum of LED light sources, fluorophores as well as excitation / emission filters and dichroic mirrors. The input graph shows LED light sources with filters and dichroic mirrors while the output graph shows the resulting illumination overplayed on the spectra of the selected fluorescence dyes.

Microscope Adaptor

The Mic-LED can be directly connected to standard epi-fluorescence port of Olympus, Nikon, Zeiss or Leica microscope. The user can exchange microscope adaptor easily by simple screwing the adaptor to the Mic-LED head.

Beam Combiner Module

The output beam of Mic-LED can be collinearly combined with additional Mic-LEDs, UHP-LEDs, UHP-T-LEDs and UHP-T-LED-White-High-CRI, by Dichroic Beam Combiners. The Beam Combiner is connected to the Mic-LED by means of four connection pins.

Light Guide Adaptor and Liquid Light Guide (LLG)

The Light Guide Adaptor can be easily screwed into the Mic-LED converting the Mic-LED into a LLG coupled light source. Prizmatix can supply the LLG or adapt the Light Guide Adaptor to match your light guide.

Fiber Adaptor and Optical Fiber

The Fiber Adaptor can be easily screwed into the Mic-LED converting the Mic-LED into a Fiber Coupled LED light source. Prizmatix can supply a variety of fiber patch cords and custom fiber optic assemblies as well as Fiber Collimator for high NA fibers.

Filter Wheel and Filter Adaptor

The Mic-LED can be connected to a 6 positions Filter wheel or to a filter adaptor to provide additional filtration of LED output spectrum.

Remark:

Most accessories can be connected in series to create complex system.
